With the completion of the PROGAS production facility in the Elsteraue industrial park near Zeitz, Schwelm Anlagentechnik GmbH has set a clear benchmark in industrial plant engineering. The project is one of the largest in the company's history and demonstrates its ability to implement complex industrial projects in a safe, structured, and sustainable manner.
The plant was specially designed for the processing and storage of aerosol and fuel gases (liquefied petroleum gas). In addition to eight containers, each with a volume of 400 m³, and five containers with a volume of 200 m³, 15 filter units, 17 pumps, 1,500 fittings, five loading and unloading stations for railway tank cars and large trucks, as well as 5 km of piping and 30 km of cable material were installed.
Robust technical design, integrated safety and fire protection concepts, and a clearly structured plant architecture form the basis for reliable and long-term operation.
Schwelm Anlagentechnik GmbH was responsible for the entire project – from technical design and engineering to plant construction and commissioning. Precise processes, well-coordinated project structures, and close consultation with all project participants ensured efficient and timely implementation.
The project in Elsteraue illustrates our commitment to thinking holistically about industrial plants, implementing them with technical precision, and taking responsibility throughout the entire 28-month project.
